WHAT MAKES MACQ 01 ROOMS UNIQUE?
Every room at MACq 01 is inspired by a real Tasmanian character. Spacious layouts, bespoke furnishings and curated artefacts immerse guests in stories drawn from Tasmania's past and present.

DO MACQ 01 ROOMS OFFER HARBOUR VIEWS OR PRIVATE BALCONIES?
Yes. Premium and Waterfront categories feature private balconies overlooking the River Derwent and kunanyi Mount Wellington. Hunter Street rooms overlook the historic streetscape and original warehouses.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH A STAY AT MACQ 01?
Your stay includes complimentary Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, room service availability, access to the guest lounge, and curated storytelling throughout the hotel. Some seasonal packages may include breakfast or experiences.

IS BREAKFAST INCLUDED WITH MY BOOKING?
Breakfast is not included in all rates, however several seasonal packages include breakfast for two. Check your booking inclusions or contact our team for details.

ARE ACCESSIBLE ROOMS AVAILABLE?
Yes. MACq 01 offers accessible rooms, including Superior Hunter Street Accessible Rooms and a Premium Waterfront Accessible Suite. Features include open showers and grab rails for guest comfort.

DO ANY SUITES INCLUDE DEEP SOAKING BATHS?
Yes. Several waterfront suites feature deep-soaking baths and walk-in robes. Check each room description when booking.

WHAT ARE THE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES AT MACQ 01?
Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is at 10:00am. Early arrivals or late departures may be available on request, subject to availability.

CAN I REQUEST EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECK-OUT?
Yes. Speak with our reservations team ahead of arrival and we'll do our best to align with your travel plans.

DOES MACQ 01 OFFER TWIN-SHARE OR FAMILY-FRIENDLY OPTIONS?
Yes. Selected rooms can be configured as twin-share and interconnecting rooms are available for families. Please advise your preferences when booking.

IS THE HOTEL SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES?
Yes. Families are welcome and several room types can accommodate additional guests or offer interconnecting layouts. Please contact our reservations team to ensure you book the most suitable room for your stay.

CAN I REQUEST AN EXTRA BED OR COT FOR MY ROOM?
A limited number of rollaway beds and cots are available on request. Fees may apply depending on your room type. We recommend requesting these items at the time of booking to ensure availability.

CAN I REQUEST A QUIET ROOM OR A PARTICULAR ROOM LOCATION?
Waterfront rooms provide spectacular views of the harbour, and while the area is generally peaceful, occasional activity from nearby bars or boats may be audible at times. Guests seeking quieter spaces may prefer Hunter Street rooms overlooking the historic streetscape. Our team can help guide your selection.

CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC CHARACTER ROOM?
Yes. Each MACq 01 room is inspired by a real Tasmanian character, and many guests like to choose a personality that resonates with them. While specific characters cannot always be guaranteed, you are welcome to request a particular category of character such as heroes, villains, explorers or rogues. Our team will do their best to accommodate your preference.

ARE THE BALCONIES FURNISHED AND SUITABLE FOR RELAXING OUTDOORS?
Premium Waterfront Suite balconies include outdoor seating where you can relax and take in the views of the River Derwent and kunanyi/Mount Wellington. Premium Waterfront Suites balcony layouts vary slightly by room type due to the building's design.
Please note: Other room types with balconies do not include outdoor furniture.

CAN I STORE LUGGAGE AFTER CHECK-OUT?
Yes. If you have a late departure, our team is happy to store your luggage securely after check‑out so you can continue exploring Hobart until you're ready to leave.

WHAT GUEST FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT MACQ 01?
Guests enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, a guest lounge, and award-winning dining venues including Old Wharf Restaurant, Evolve Spirits Bar and The Story Bar. Suite guests receive complimentary valet parking; a parking fee applies for other room types.

DOES MACQ 01 HAVE A GYM OR WELLNESS SERVICES?
Yes. The onsite gym features treadmills, bikes, free weights, a rowing machine, fit balls and towels. Guests can also book day spa services with Lavada for an additional fee.

DOES MACQ 01 OFFER CONCIERGE SERVICES?
Yes. Our concierge team can arrange tours, restaurant bookings, airport transfers and personalised recommendations to help you discover Hobart's stories.

IS ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE?
Yes. In-room dining is available, with hours varying by season and occupancy. Ask our front desk on arrival for the most up-to-date availability.

DO ROOMS INCLUDE MINIBAR AND TEA AND COFFEE FACILITIES?
Yes. All rooms include a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, an electric kettle and a small fridge. Minibar items are chargeable unless included in a package.

IS LAUNDRY OR DRY-CLEANING AVAILABLE?
Yes. Guests may use the self-service laundry or request same-day dry-cleaning through our team.

DOES MACQ 01 OFFER VALET PARKING?
Yes. Valet parking operates 24 hours a day. It is complimentary for suite guests and $35 per day for other room types. No booking is required.

IS ACCESSIBLE PARKING AVAILABLE?
Yes. Accessible parking is located near the entrance, and the hotel is fully wheelchair accessible with lift access to all floors.

DOES MACQ 01 OFFER EV CHARGING?
Yes. Tesla Destination Chargers are available onsite for guest use. Ask our team on arrival for access.

CAN I PARK AT MACQ 01 IF VISITING FOR DINING OR EVENTS?
Hotel parking is reserved for in-house guests. Visitors may use nearby metered parking.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE HOTEL IF ARRIVING BY TAXI OR RIDESHARE?
Taxis and rideshare services can drop you directly at the MACq 01 entrance on Hunter Street. The airport trip usually takes around 20 minutes.

DO YOU OFFER AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE?
